It’s Time to Light a Fire Under that Tuckus!
I’m just going to come right out with it…did you get my birthday gift to you on Sunday?
As a way of showing my appreciation of you and all you do in the Success for Solopreneurs’ community, I created a KILLER list of all sorts of resources for you. Some are mine, some are from my mentors, and some are just good bits of very useful info.
And on top of that, this year I decide to support you in finally getting around and getting some accountability and support you’ve been hoping and praying for. For a limited time I’m offering some CRAZY special birthday rates on my coaching…you can work with me for a mere $97!
Just imagine all you can get accomplished in our time together. And all for a fraction of what I usually charge (in fact, I don’t even take hourly clients)…and for a fraction of what many coaches out there charge.
So this is your chance to finally get that help that you’ve been craving and looking for, but putting off for one reason or five others.
There’s no time like the present.
And did you know that getting business coaching or taking classes is a legitimate business expense and totally deductible (though be sure to clear this with your accountant). Makes it even easier to bite that bullet and get started, huh?
You can find all the details (and the rest of the gifties) here ➻ http://bit.ly/katybday2012
But be sure to act quickly as I’m only offering this special birthday price on my coaching until this Friday (5/11).
And of course, I encourage you to spread the word and let your friends know about the goodies (and the birthday coaching special if you think it might be their thing). These compiled resources are way too good to keep to yourself.
And to help you jump start your productivity and your taking those steps forward I’ve got 5 things you get started on TODAY to light that fire under your tuckus and ignite your business!!
As always…wishing you many successes!!
PS – Welcome to all my new Success for Solopreneurs subscribers. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to drop me a note.

“Life lived tomorrow will always be just a day away from being realized.”
~ Leo Buscaglia
Back in January you said that this year was going to be different. This year you were going to do all the things you said you were going to do – all the things that you said mattered to you. And all those things that you said mattered to your business.
Well, we’re now five months in, and well into May. Have you done it yet?
Or are you still spinning your wheels, telling yourself that you just need to buckle down and you’ll get it done? Or are you maybe feeling a bit overwhelmed and unsure of where to start.
That happens.
The good news is that you’re exactly where you should be. You’re not behind. You’re not lost. You’re here…right where you need to be for today.
And lucky for you, you’re reading this because you’re ready to learn what you can do to get you to where you want to be.
How cool is that?!?
To be honest, there are five simple things that you can get started on today that will help you to get your shit together and start on that path you’ve envisioned.
Find some accountability. If someone were to ask me for the one thing that an entrepreneur could do to improve their business, I’d answer “get some accountability now” without any hesitation. Having someone hold you accountable for the tasks you do…all the things you say that you’re going to do, or want to do, or would like to do…makes a HUGE difference in how you run your business. It turns being busy into being productive (big difference). It takes having an idea and turns it into having a book, a product, a service, a class, you name it, or two or three or five! It gets you to actually take action and get things done.
Find some support. Support and accountability aren’t the same thing. As I outlined above, accountability keeps you on track and helps you to see that you’re doing what you say you’re doing. Support, on the other hand, means that you have a team to turn to when you need help, insight or solutions as well as when you need to celebrate, whine or share. We like to tell ourselves that our family, our spouse and our friends support us (and I’ve no doubt that they do), but more commonly, if they’re not an entrepreneur, they don’t always get what we do, why we do it, or what it all means. So get out there and find some like-minded people to join your support team.
Manage your projects. This might look different to each person, but regardless of what form your management takes, you need to get it done. I suggest making a To Do list for each project and one for each week. The project list will let you know all the different tasks that are involved in that particular project (I think you might be a little shocked to see how much goes into a particular project). The weekly list on the other hand, will help you stay focused on each task that needs to get done both in your personal and your business life (it’s likely that you won’t just be working on that one project each week).
Manage your expectations. This is a tough one to put out there in black and white. But it’s so true. It’s time to manage your expectations. As the saying goes…you can do anything, but you can’t do everything. And there’s no real short cut to success. It takes time…some times it will shorter than other times and sometimes the process is more fun and doesn’t even feel like work. But it still takes time. And holding on to perfection…yeah, that’s not going to help you (or your expectations) one bit. When you allow for imperfection, you allow for action. When you expect perfection, you give yourself permission to wait…and wait…and wait. Which means you’re not moving forward. Instead, allow yourself to make mistakes and learn and grow from them. And know that you’re exactly where you should be, doing exactly what you’re meant to be.
Get help. No really, you can’t do it alone. If you could, you wouldn’t be where you are now. You need that accountability. You need that support. You need help. There’s no shame in that. Now is the time for you to step up. Now is the time to build that team. Hire the VA. Schedule the cleaning service. Arrange for the babysitter. Take the plunge and get the coach.
You’ll be surprised how much you can do…both personally and professionally…when you’ve got the help, when the systems in place and the ducks are all in a row.
And remember, there’s no time like today. Whether you finally start today or if you start next week, next month or next year….you’ll wish to hell that you’d done it sooner.
So you may as well do it today. As Ben Franklin explains it, “One today is worth two tomorrows.”
ACTION PLAN: Reach out to someone TODAY that you’ve been meaning to connect with and ask for their help…invite them be a part of your support team, your accountability partner or your coach. Make the contact. The worst that can happen is they’ll say no. The best…well, I’m sure you can imagine all that could be.
I invite you to share a little about who you are, what you do and your successes as solopreneur by joining the conversation at the Success for Solopreneurs community.
